Ms Claudia Frietschen has been working since 2022 as a lawyer at MKM + PARTNER in Berlin-Center in the labor law department and as a mediator.

As a specialist lawyer for labour law, her main areas of practice are individual labour law, collective labour law and social security law.

She represents employers and employees in and out of court in all matters of individual employment law, personnel adjustment measures, restructuring, advice and support in separation processes and the drafting of termination agreements, as well as in matters of collective bargaining law. Furthermore, Ms Frietschen represents employers in all conflicts relating to co-determination. In social law, she regularly assists in status determination proceedings.

Ms Frietschen studied law at the Free University of Berlin and completed her legal traineeship in Berlin in 2006. In 2013, Ms Frietschen successfully passed the written examinations to obtain the title of “specialist lawyer for labour law” and has been admitted as such since 2018.

Ms Frietschen has broad professional experience in several top federal authorities, as a legal advisor and lecturer for an employers’ association, but above all as a lawyer. Most recently, from 2015 to 2021, Ms Frietschen worked for a medium-sized law firm specialized in broadcasting and press companies.

From 2013 to 2015, Ms Frietschen attended university training as a mediator and coach at the International Academy for Innovative Pedagogy, Psychology and Economics GmbH (an institute of the Free University of Berlin). Ms. Frietschen provides consultancy in the context of mediation processes in clarifying different interests with employees, colleagues and co-determination bodies and in developing appreciative communication and working cooperation over the long term.

Ms. Frietschen is a member of the labor law working group at the Berlin Lawyers’ Association.
